Jus Osborn would like a word with you, young man.

In all seriousness, though, Dime was a great guitarist. I was always bummed because Pantera broke up when I was like 7 and I never got to hear their albums new or see them live or anything.

I saw them when I was 15 in Boise. Great show.

Dime stopped through SLC when I was in college with Damageplan and I decided not to go. He was shot a couple weeks later. Makes me sad even thinking about not taking the opportunity to see him live one last time.

:( At least you saw the Pantera show, which tour was it? I've heard crazy awesome things about their concerts, the pre-heroin Phil ones, at least.

It's always a race to post a Wizard song whenever there's a "heaviest riff" argument, isn't it haha. Love these dudes, just wish they could keep a lineup together for more than an album.

Love that album. Plenty of heavier stuff though:

And if you want to get really extreme...

for me, heaviness includes more than just bottem end chunk riffage...there has to be that kick assness that cannot match Pantera

Vulgar Display of Power. I was 18, they played at an indoor soccer stadium (smaller place). It was in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood and the show was amazing.

aha see what you mean. But that would have been the best time to see them. When vulgar came out i was like 9 or 10 years old

"Walk" got me into metal for a bit. I used to alternate that and "War Machine" by Kiss as my songs to get fired up to box.

Pan-fuckin'-tera - the best band ever in the history of the world.

I was at the concert in Dallas back in '96 when Phil od'ed and then pulled a Jesus.

It was glorious...War of the Gargantuans it was labeled. They were touring with White Zombie.

Although my favorite riff is the beginning of Heresy.
